Silicon Power unveils the Armor A70 waterproof portable HDDs

Taiwan's own Silicon Power has just presented to the world its latest storage solution, the rough and tough Armor A70 portable hard drive. Coming in 250, 320, 500 and 640GB capacities, the new HDD measures 139.45 x 85.7 x 18.1 mm and weights about 250 grams, has a red or black coating, a USB 2.0/1.1 connection interface, and a solid shell and construction that makes it water, pressure, vibration, shock and dust proof - it's almost like you can play soccer with it.

The yet unpriced Armor A70 drive is backed by a two-year warranty and should become available in April.

PeeWee Power Laptop is a rugged netbook for children $499.99

PeeWee PC today rolled out a new netbook for children. The new PeeWee Power Laptop is a rugged 3.5 pound netbook featuring a durable drop-proof construction and spill resistant keyboard, making it the ideal first computer for children aged 4-8. PeeWee PC loads each computer with 15 educational software titles providing the young end users access to different games as they progress from pre-kindergarten into early elementary and finally upper elementary students.

Other than that it offers standard features.

Specification include Intel Atom N450 1.6GHz processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB hard drive, 10.1" widescreen LCD display, 1.3MP webcam, Wireless, Bluetooth, 3x USB ports, memory card reader, 6-cell battery, and Windows XP.
