64GB Zune HD to debut on April 12, current models get price cut

Microsoft has today confirmed its own leak and announced that a Zune HD model with 64GB of built-in storage space will become available via ZuneOriginals.com as of April 12. The upcoming portable player will cost $349.99 and will be able to carry 16,000 songs, 20 hours of high definition video or 25,000 pictures.

Capacity update aside, the 64GB Zune HD will have the same features as its little brothers - an Nvidia Tegra SoC (system-on-a-chip), a 3.3-inch (480x272) OLED screen, a built-in FM radio receiver and 802.11b/g WiFi.

Those who do not need 64GB can get the 16GB or 32GB models which as of today have had their recommended price tag reduced to $199.99 and $269.99, respectively (but you'll find them even cheaper on Amazon).
